A note from Sharon Boothe, Executive Director of the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame, on the passing of Temple University’s JoAnne Epps.
“I met JoAnne Epps in 2013 when the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame was looking for a permanent home, and a location where we could build a Hall of Fame that would inspire students, faculty and the community. The Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame found a home at Temple Law School back in 2014 due to the generous spirit of JoAnne Epps, Dean of Temple Law at that time, and our biggest cheerleader. JoAnne believed in the power of trial lawyers telling their stories to younger generations of lawyers, and she helped me work through all the red tape and issues to get the Hall of Fame built at Temple. I admired her, looked up to her, and was amazed by her – such a strong woman, such an impressive person, and such an inspiring mentor. She continued to be a friend to the Hall of Fame even after she moved on from the Law School to take on other positions at Temple. The Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame will forever be grateful for JoAnne’s vision. We literally would not be here today had it not been for her unwavering support. She will be missed by the entire Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame family. “
